As artificial intelligence continues to transform enterprise environments, the attack surface that cybersecurity teams must manage is expanding rapidly. Organizations now need visibility not only into traditional IT assets, but also AI applications, identity systems, cloud infrastructure, and other emerging digital assets.
In this context, Gartner evaluated Tenable’s AI-powered Exposure Assessment approach in its June 2026 report, “AI Vendor Race: Tenable Is the Company to Beat for AI-Powered Exposure Assessment.” The report highlights Tenable’s long-standing expertise in vulnerability management, comprehensive asset discovery capabilities, and broad attack surface visibility as key differentiators.
The report also notes that the Tenable One platform provides unified visibility across traditional IT environments, identity infrastructure, cloud systems, container environments, and cyber-physical systems (CPS). In addition, the platform’s ability to identify Shadow AI usage, prioritize sensitive data exposure risks, detect misconfigurations, and analyze emerging AI-related threats is recognized among its key capabilities.
Tenable continues to expand its investments in artificial intelligence. The company recently introduced Tenable Hexa AI, its generative AI engine integrated into the Tenable One platform, while further enhancing its AI Exposure capabilities to help organizations discover AI assets more effectively and prioritize risks across AI environments.
In addition, Tenable remains actively involved in leading AI security initiatives. The company is among the limited number of cybersecurity vendors participating in Anthropic Project Glasswing and the OpenAI Daybreak Cyber Partner Program, reinforcing its commitment to advancing AI security.
As AI adoption accelerates across enterprises, identifying vulnerabilities alone is no longer sufficient. Prioritizing risks based on business impact, continuously monitoring the attack surface, and reducing cyber risk through informed remediation are becoming essential elements of a modern Exposure Management strategy.
Gartner’s latest assessment further highlights Tenable’s vision for AI-powered security and its comprehensive Exposure Management approach, underscoring the company’s continued innovation in helping organizations manage cyber risk across increasingly complex environments.
