With these new capabilities, Hexa AI moves beyond traditional AI assistants that require user prompts. Instead, it leverages coordinated AI agents that continuously execute complex, multi-step security workflows, enabling organizations to maintain uninterrupted security operations.
While many AI-powered security tools only operate when triggered by users, security teams are often forced to restart repetitive workflows and manually track remediation efforts. Tenable’s new agentic AI approach is designed to reduce this operational burden by autonomously planning, orchestrating, and completing security tasks.
Powered by the Tenable Exposure Data Fabric, Hexa AI combines contextual exposure intelligence with real-time threat intelligence. The platform maintains organizational risk context, security priorities, and configuration data across sessions, eliminating the need for users to repeatedly provide the same information while ensuring continuous security operations.

Autonomous Exposure Remediation
Hexa AI performs daily analysis of critical exposures, prioritizing them based on exploitability and reachability. It automatically initiates remediation workflows and verifies whether deployed patches have been successfully implemented.
Continuous Preemptive Risk Reduction Guardrails
The platform continuously evaluates weekly configuration changes, identifies vulnerabilities combined with identity-related risks, and can automatically create remediation tickets for critical security deviations.
Executive and Compliance Reporting
Hexa AI also generates weekly executive and compliance reports, providing leadership teams with data-driven insights into their organization’s current security posture and compliance status.
AI Automates Repetitive Security Operations
With its always-on architecture, Tenable aims to free security analysts from repetitive operational tasks, allowing them to focus on higher-value strategic initiatives. Critical exposure management continues around the clock—including nights and weekends—without requiring human intervention.

Availability
The new Tenable Hexa AI capabilities will be available starting in August 2026 for customers using Tenable One Foundation and Tenable One Advanced.
Hexa AI also integrates with Tenable AI Exposure, enabling organizations to identify AI-related risks while expanding the use of AI-driven automation across security operations.
